Northeast Leadership Summit Date Moved!

Hello! I hope everyone in the region is doing well today! As you will see from the email blasts and postings on Northeast Calendar.com, we have moved the Northeast Leadership Summit to coincide with the opening of the Queens Product Center.

This will allow us the ability to include more people in the region for this event as many people will be making the trip down to NY from states outside the area for the Grand Opening of the office. In addition, it will allow us to have a large open opportunity meeting before the Leadership Summit and allow these guests to then go and see our latest brick and mortar establishment. Finally, we will be able to have not only Kelly, but other TNI Executives at this event by moving the date to coincide with the Queens Produce Center grand opening.

Everyone who purchased tickets will be contacted directly via email and will receive a full refund of their ticket price. We had a tremendous response to this event and are confident that we will have even more people banging on the door to get in come October!

To help get the word out about the date being moved, we will be sending out a region-wide email, updating Northeast Calendar.com, updating our Region Blog (you are reading the update now!), and contacting our leaders directly to ask for their assistance in communicating the new information.

If you have any questions, concerns, or comments, please contact me directly. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and cooperation in this matter. I am very excited about the enhancements to our annual Leadership Summit that we will see by moving this date!

Hiro Truck and Summit Update

Good evening TNI Northeast Leaders!

I had the privilege of attending a fantastic leadership training this evening with Triple Diamond Pearls Bob Bourke and Kevin Baadsguaard, Double Diamond Pearl Ricardo Tavares and Diamond Pearl Elite Mike Hanke here in Boston this evening. It has really left me feeling excited this evening, so much so that I am having trouble sleeping! Being around such great leadership really boosts your vision!

So, before I turn in for the evening, I thought I would write you a quick note to update you on a few things.

First, I have sent many of you a personal letter asking you to work with me to setup some time to do a business review. The response has been great so far and I would encourage those of you who have received letters and have not responded to do so. If you didn't receive a letter and would like to have a review, please contact me and we will set something up for you.

Second, our 2007 Leadership Summit with Kelly Olsen is over 1/3 of the way full after only a few days of open registration. Please do not delay in getting registered, this even will sell out! To avoid the long registration lines, we will be mailing all registered guests wristbands that they MUST be wearing in order to get into the event. You will receive this wristband along with detailed instructions for the event starting next week.

Third, we finally have our HIRO delivery truck wrapped in HIRO graphics. It is like a HIRO billboard on wheels! Check it out!

Have a great night!!

Great Fast Start Camp in Philadelphia!

What a great Fast Start Camp in Philadelphia!

There was tremendous energy and excitement in our recent Fast Start Camp in Philadelphia this past weekend. There were over 60 guests in attendance and all came away feeling energized from the experience.

Troy Mitchell, a top-producing leader from the Philadelphia area, started the day off right with a tremendous presentation about the TNI opportunity. Troy brilliantly illustrated what our company offers and how you can find your place with TNI.

After Troy's presentation, we had a small break and then begun our Fast Start Training. It was easy to see why Philadelphia is one of the fastest growing areas in our region! Over 50% of the attendees were first-time Fast Start Camp qualifiers.

Congratulations for the great showing Philadelphia, keep it up!!

Updates!

Good evening! I hope all of you are doing well! I just wanted to give everyone a quick heads up on a couple of items that I have been getting questions about. Hopefully this information will answer some questions you may have. If not, please drop me a quick email at cimc@tni.com

Items of Interest:

  1. Sterling Gabbitas has put together a wonderful TNI Compensation plan training that he will be giving on a monthly basis. I have asked him to hold his first training this month as I feel it would be very, very useful to so many of our new IPCs. This first training will be in the NJ office on Wednesday, June 27th at 7pm. This training is FREE, get your teams there and learn from the best!

  2. On Tuesday, June 26th at 9pm there is a Live Webinar Fast Start Camp. It is free to re-attendees and $10 for first time attendees. I would highly encourage you to promote this with your teams! It seems the summer months are the hardest to get people to trainings and this is something they can do from the comfort of their own home! Take advantage of it! Call the company at 1-800-445-2969 or log onto NoniOffice.com to get registered!

  3. We have two more Fast Start Camps scheduled this month. This is one of the easiest and most effective things you can do to help keep your team focused and on point! We have a Fast Start Camp in Queens on Wednesday the 20th at 7pm in both English and Spanish and on Saturday the 30th in Philadelphia. As always, complete details can be found on your NoniOffice website or on http://www.northeastcalendar.com/

  4. The Queens office is 99% done. We are just waiting on everything to be filed with the city! Once it is 100%, I will be making the announcement. One quick teaser: we will be running a really, really, really cool promotion along with the opening of this office…you are going to love it! Stay tuned!

  5. We should have the white delivery truck finally wrapped in HIRO and TNJ graphics by the end of the month! I will post pictures once we have it!

  6. A few of you have expressed concern that the Philadelphia pickup center only carries HIRO and not the full line of TNI products. Please understand a few things about these pickup centers.

First, they are not owned by TNI; they are contracted third-party warehouses that we have agreements with to bring HIRO closer to you so you don’t have to pay shipping.

Second, because these locations are not TNI owned and operated, it would be almost impossible to carry a full line of TNI products. With that said, I am trying to see if we can get TNJ in the locations; I will let you know of any updates once I have them.

Third, these pickup centers are NOT product centers like in Weehawken and what we will have in Queens. They do not have meeting space and can only be used to pickup orders for HIRO.

Fourth, the locations are not guaranteed permanent. Because of the high shipping cost, I have been working very hard to get more distribution points for HIRO in our region. In addition to the location in Philadelphia, I am hoping to have a similar location in Boston opened up before the end of the year. However, the company evaluates the volume purchased from these locations on a monthly basis. If they are not being used, they will close the location down to use the money to open up other locations in the country. This isn’t meant as a threat, just to let you know the reality of what we are dealing with. Please use this resource if you live in the Philadelphia area!

  7. You are all incredible and I can’t believe I have the honor of working with you. Thank you for your example!

When you get a chance, drop me a quick note and let me know how you are doing! I would love to hear from you! cimc@tni.com

Good Night!!!

The Dip...

Dan Hillstrom, Regional Manager of the Southeast Region sent me this article on mindset that I thought was fantastic. I would encourage everyone to read it!

At the beginning, when you first start something, it's fun. You could be taking up golf or acupuncture or piloting a plane or doing chemistry – doesn't matter; it's interesting, and you get plenty of good feedback from the people around you.

Over the next few days and weeks, the rapid learning you experience keeps you going. Whatever your new thing is, it's easy to stay engaged in it.

And then the Dip happens.

The Dip is the long slog between starting and mastery. A long slog that's actually a shortcut, because it gets you where you want to go faster than any other path.

The Dip is the combination of bureaucracy and busywork you must deal with in order to get certified in scuba diving.

The Dip is the difference between the easy "beginner" technique and the more useful "expert" approach in skiing or fashion design.

The Dip is the long stretch between beginner's luck and real accomplishment.

The Dip is the set of artificial screens set up to keep people like you out.

If you took organic chemistry in college, you've experienced the Dip. Academia doesn't want too many unmotivated people to attempt medical school, so they set up a screen. Organic chemistry is the killer class, the screen that separates the doctors from the psychologists. If you can't handle organic chemistry, well, then, you can't go to med school.

At the beginning, when you announce that your pre-med, you get all sorts of positive feedback and support. Your grandmother can't believe her good fortune! But soon, the incredible grind of organic chemistry kicks in, and you realize you're doomed.

At trade shows, you see dozens of companies trying to break into an industry. They've invested time and money to build a product, to create a marketing organization and rent booth space – all in an attempt to break into a lucrative market. A year later, most of them don't return. They're gone, unable to get through the Dip.

The same thing happens to people who dream of the untold riches and power that accrue to the CEO of a Fortune 500 company. Private jets, fancy country clubs, unchecked decision-making power. Who wouldn't want to live like modern-day royalty? Of course, if you look at the resume of a typical CEO, you'll see that he endured a twenty-five-year Dip before landing the job. For a quarter of a century, he needed to suck it up, keep his head down, and do what he was told. He needed to hit his numbers, work longer hours than everyone else, and kiss up to his boss of the moment. Day in and day out, year after year.

It's easy to be a CEO. What's hard is getting there. There's a huge Dip along the way. If it was easy, there'd be too many people vying for the job and the CEOs couldn't get paid as much, could they? Scarcity, as we've seen, is the secret to value. If there wasn't a Dip, there'd be no scarcity.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Successful people don't just ride out the Dip. They don't just buckle down and survive it. No, they lean into the Dip. They push harder, changing the rules as they go. Just because you know you're in the Dip doesn't mean you have to live happily with it. Dips don't last quite as long when you whittle at them."

- Seth Godin, The Dip

Boston Trip

Well, we are just wrapping up our trip to Boston and it has been a lot of fun. The Super Saturday went well and I think that everyone is going away from this event more energized and excited for what we are doing in the Northeast.

The Coral Camp this morning went pretty well. We were able to get some good, in-depth training on the compensation plan done as well as discuss some strategies for overcoming concerns about the CAS program.
Ana gave a great TePoema training that was well attended and was very useful. Everyone was able to get "down and dirty" with the products and gave great feedback about the effectiveness of her training.
Jordan and Sterling brought it home this afternoon with a solid Fast Start Camp.

All in all, it was a good trip. I am looking forward to seeing how things go in Philadelphia at the end of the month. I am hoping that we will have a solid turnout there as well. During these summer months it is critical that we take advantage of these events to build momentum.

Thanks for all that you do!

Awesome Fast Start Camp in NJ!

We just finished an incredible Fast Start Camp here in the NJ office tonight. We had a packed house of about 50 people (which really fills up the NJ office meeting space!) and some great energy.

I have really started to notice that we are bringing some really high caliber people into our business these past few months. I have been very impressed with so many of the people that I have the chance to meet before and after the camp and it makes me even more excited for the future of our business.

I was reminded yet again tonight just how important training is for our business. We have to be so serious about training our organizations. Often times, people come to us full of excitement and enthusiasm, but we don't support them with enough training to make sure they are headed in the right direction.

Anyway, I am heading home now...it was a good night.

-Cim

Keeping up the energy this summer

Over the weekend, I had the great opportunity to participate in a wonderful event hosted by the MAD Team, a group within the TOPGUN organization and the fastest growing group in the entire company right now. There was an incredible amount of energy at this event and it really got by blood pumping and made my vision of the future of our region even bigger…if that is even possible!

Pablo Picasso, a world famous artist, once said that “Inspiration does exist, but it must find you working.” Often times, we go to our trainings and come away feeling excited and motivated, only to have this feeling leave us in the subsequent days. To keep your battery charged, to keep this energy, it must find you “working”, or actively engaged in the business. Taking the energy you feel from these events and translating it to activity is how we keep it going and use it to build our business.

With the summer months upon us, it becomes more important that ever that we stay engaged in the business. As your corporate business partners, we are committed to make this summer the best ever…but we need you.

How can an IPC leader in the Northeast best keep their team energized and focused this summer?
